DIED.--At the home of his father A. Oldfield, in this city, on Friday morning last after a brief illness, James Hiram Oldfield, aged 16 years. He was born in Nevada and has been a resident the greater part of his life, until the fickle span has been thus ruthlessly broken. The funeral servides were held Saturday by Rev. Horswell of the M. E. church after which the remains were interred in the Nevada cemetery. He was a young man of promise and to thus have the threads of life broken is a hardship to parents and friends indeed hard to be borne but they have the consolation of looking to that future where there shall be no more parting.

In behalf of the parents we extend their thanks to all who so kindly assisted them in their hour of trouble and trial trusting that in case of need others will be equally as kind and considerate.
