The Ames Watchman

On Friday night the body of Mr. Roberts, a citizen of Ames, was found in the barn; he having committed suicide by hanging himself. Mr. Roberts had desired "not to be a burden to any one." He had reached the age of eighty-three years. Mr. R., had a host of friends in ths community. He leaves a wife to mourn his loss. The funeral service was held at the Christian church on Sunday at 2:30 p. m. Rev. Hester having delivered the discourse. Mr. R. was a member of the "Desciples church" elsewhere. Mrs. Roberts has the deepest sympathy of her many warm friends.
