Collins Clipper: ....Mrs. F. A. Leonard* received a telegram last Wednesday, conveying the sad intelligence of the death of her father* who had that day died in Utica, Illinois....

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: "Mrs. F. A. Leonard" is Amanda M. (Sweet) Leonard daughter of Cornelius and Almira (Prentice) Sweet. Amanda married Frederick A. Leonard in LaSalle County, Illinois December 13, 1868. Her father, Cornelius Leonard, died in 1877 in Utica, LaSalle County, Illinois. It was her mother who died there in 1894.
