Ames Intelligencer: ....Francis Elizabeth Spencer was born July 6, 1819; she married John Eaglebarger April 21st, 1839, in Delaware county, Ohio. From there in 1846 they moved to Indiana, from whence they came to Story county, Iowa in 1857. Here they lived until the death of Mr. Eaglebarger, who died Feb. 22d, 1889, after a life together of forty nine years, ten months, and one day. For the past two years she has been in Missouri, where she died Nov. 21. She had been nearly helpless from paralysis for 17 years.
