DIED.--At his residence in Northeast Milford, John Balliett aged about 89 years. He has been a resident of this county a good many years and is well known to the most of our citizens. He leaves a wife and a family of grown up children of which Mrs. Thomas Poole lives in Nevada, and Stephen is the present Judge of the Des Moines District. He was a good and true man and will be greatly missed by all who had business or personal relations with him. Mrs. Balliett is also very low and has been unconscious since Monday morning and it is thought will not long survive her companion. A dispatch was received from a son, Samuel, that he would be here Friday night and the funeral will probably be held Saturday, the remains being brought to Nevada for interment.
