The Ames Watchman

AMES, MAY 2. L. B. Carpenter, a student at the Agricultural College died Sunday afternoon and his remains were taken to his home at Iowa Falls for burial to-day. He was taken with the measles about five weeks ago, he escaped during a rain storm from his bed in the hospital while the attendant was absent and was afterwards found at the creamery, which is at quite a distance from the hospital. He was soon taken with pneumonia and steadily grew worse until he died. Some dissatisfaction is manifested among the students with regard to the accomodations and management of the hospital.
