From Story County Watchman October 21, 1892

A shoemaker by the name of C. E.* Grinde living in Story City was found dead Tuesday morning under the railroad bridge south of Story City over what is known as Kegley Branch. The Coroner was duly notified and took prompt action in the premises.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: The 1885 Story City census plainly lists the deceased as "Christofer B. Grinde."
