DIED:--In Nevada, Nov. 13, 1892, at the home of Mr. N. B. Gretsinger Mrs. Eliza Jane aged 70 years.
She was born in Pennsylvania spent much of her early life in Ohio but for 15 years had been a resident of this city. For nearly a year she had been in failing health. Her last days were made pleasant by her daughters, Mrs. Hulse, Mrs. Wakeman, and Mrs. Gretsinger, and her grand-daughter, Mrs. Kilborn, who vied with each other in ministering to her wants. Her children were all with her at her death and funeral, except one son in Ohio, who was unable to be present. At her request she was buried beside a much loved grandson, Johnnie Gretsinger who died several years ago.
Mrs. Lyman was a lady of unusual strength of character, and in her daily life exhibited the spirit of "Him who went about doing good." She will long be remembered as one who made the world better for having lived, and who illustrated the beauty of the Christian religion, in all the relations of life.
How reverent in our midst she stood,
Or knelt in grateful praise;
What grace of Christian womanhood
Was in her household ways.
