DIED--Mrs. George James, of Howard township, died at her home on Tuesday last of consumption. The funeral services were held by Rev. Neibel, and the remains were interred in the Sheffield Cemetery.

From Story County Watchman November 11, 1892

DIED.--Hattie May wife of George James, of Howard township, Story Co., Iowa, died Nov. 1, 1892 aged 26 years 9 months and 8 days. Her disease was consumption. Besides a sorrowing husband she leaves two children and many other friends to mourn. Her trust was in the Lord May God comfort the bereaved. Funeral by the writer.
