The Ames Watchman

On Thursday evening of last week Mrs. M. K. Smith died at their residence after only a few hours illness as the result of a medical operation which had been performed commencing just afternoon and resulted favorably. For some unforseen reason she was unable to recover from the shock to her nervous system which coupled with her recent illness led to the result indicated. She leaves a husband, children, parents, brothers and sisters here to mourn her loss. Everything was done which love and affection could do to prevent this but without avail. She has only gone before to welcome loved ones to a better land.
