Obituary of Harley Elliott
Last rites were held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada, for Harley Z. Elliott, 83, a former Cambridge resident who died March 28 at Westview Nursing Home in Des Moines. Rev. James Denler officiated and burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Collins.
Elliott was born Nov. 6, 1878 in Missouri, the son of William and Martha Elliott.
A retired farmer, he had worked and lived in Story county 75 years.
He was married to Miss Addie Kirk February 22, 1905 in Story County.
Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Talley of Independence, Kansas, Mrs. Georgia Gilbert of Springfield, Mo. and Mrs. Iva Harrah of Sonoma, Cal., also several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, two sisters and his wife, Addie who died in 1954.
