From Story County Watchman January 15, 1892
Mrs. Dinsmore, who lives with her son just south of town died this week aged 82 years. She had lived in this county for many years, being one of the oldest residents of the county. A family of grown up children lived here and aided in passing of the last few years of her life in plenty and contentment. She was highly esteemed by her many friends, all of whom would like to have her remained here for many years, but she has been gathered to the home of her father full of years and in a faith of a glorious hereafter.

DIED.--Mrs. Eliza Dinsmore was born in Era Co., Pa. Aug. 30, 1809, and died near Nevada, Iowa Jan 12, 1892. In the spring of 1869 Mrs. D. emigrated to Story Co., Ia., where she lived on a farm two miles south east of Nevada until her death. About 26 years ago she joined the Dunkard Church in which she lived a consistent christian life until she was called home.
Mrs. D. was a devoted mother, a kind neighbor, a true christian, one who always had an open heart and a welcome home to all. Her husband and one son predeeded her to the spirit world, whole two sons, four daughters, besides many friends remain to mourn their loss. The loss is her eternal gain. The funeral was largely attended. Services by Rev. Thomas, of the Dunkard church of Ames and the writer, were held at the home of the deceased after which the remains were taken to the Nevada cemetery where they rest until the resurrection morning.
Mother fare the well
For we are called to part;
Thou can'st not come to us,
But we, to where thou art.Mother we lay the down,
Where the weary are at rest;
Thou hast been kind and true to us,
Now with Jesus thou art blessed.Mother rest the now,
In the tomb where thou art lain;
Until the resurrection morn,
When we will meet again.J. E. STAUFFACHER.
