From Story County Watchman March 22, 1889

Mrs. D. H. McCord died at her residence in Great Bend, Kansas on Sunday last after a brief illness. Two of her sisters reached her just before the event. We have no farther particulars. She lived in this city a number of years and was highly esteemed by all who knew her.
