Mrs. A. Dayton died in this city Wednesday at quite an advanced age. She leaves a husband here and sons at a distance. She has been a sufferer for along time and the end has long been expected. She was a lady well thought of by all with whom she became acquainted and was noted for her goodness of heart and kindliness. She will be missed from the circle of her friends and the poor has missed a kindly friend.

PASSED TO THE SPIRIT LAND.--Mrs. Sophronia Dayton, wife of A. Dayton passed beyond the gates Nov. 14th to meet awaiting friends. Since her second stroke of paralysis her life had been dipaired of, and Wednesday she passed away in the 69th year of her age. She was a woman of unusual activity, and one who had a large circle of steadfast friends who will deeply feel her loss. Her Christian graces were expressed in doing deeds of charity and love. Her home exhibited her heart's affection; flowers, birds and the beautiful art adorned every nook. She was a firm believer in the great truths taught in Spritualism. Her husband, who had been her companion for 52 years and one who cared for her so tenderly through her long illness, remains and will deeply feel her departure. Her sister, Mrs. Allen, from Sioux Falls, Dak. was present to accompany her form to its quiet resting place. Too sons, her only children, were two far away to be present. The funeral services were conducted by the order of Odd Fellows, Rev. Ferguson and the undersigned officiating.
Pass on sweet spirit to increase
In every bright celestial grace
Till in the land of love and peace
We meet thee, dear one, face to face.OTIS BRIGGS.
