From Story County Watchman March 11, 1887

DIED.--March 1st, at the poor farm, Mrs. Jane Thompson, aged 84 years. For a number of years she had been a county charge, the cause, age and desertion of relatives. About one year aso she fell and fractured one of her limbs which rendered her in a great measure helpless. The kind attention and sympathy shown her speak highly for those in charge. The funeral though small was quite respectable, being made up of our most respetable citizens. In nothing does Story county show her excellence more than in her regard for the poor. J. FEGTLY.
