Died.--Mrs. Anna Coggshall was born in the state of New York, June 16h, 1807. Married Hiram Coggshall,* Dec 25th, 1827 and came to the state of Ill. in the spring of 1834. Her husband died Aug. 26th, 1849. She came to Iowa in 1869, and settled in Story Co. which was her home until her death, which occured at the home of her daughter in Maxwell on Saturday morning, Oct. 30th, 1889. She was the mother of eleven children, four of which are not living. All the living ones--four sons and three daughters--were present at the funeral, which took place in the M. E. Church at Maxwell on Sabbath, 31st ult. The sermon was preached by Rev. R. A. Ferguson. He was assisted throughout the services by Rev. W. H. H. Smith, pastor of the M. E. Church. Mrs. Coggshall was very highly esteemed by all who knew her. Her exalted character and pure life made her friends wherever she was known. Peace to her ashes.
