DIED--James John, at his home in Maxwell. The deceased had been ailing sometime, when he was taken to Iowa City to be operated upon by the eminent physicians of that place. He returned home and grew from bad to worse, until finally he gave up all earthly hopes and expired on the 24th inst. The services were held in the church. It is estimated there were 60 of his relatives present besides a great many of his friends. He leaves a wife and two children to mourn his loss. The bereaved wife has the sympathy of the entire neighborhood. Ob.
