DIED:--In Nevada, July 28th, 1884, of inflammatory rheumatism, John B. Gretsinger, eldest son of N. B. and M. E. Gretsinger, aged 11 years and 4 months.
He was born in Trumbull Co., Ohio, and the last seven years of his short life were spent in Nevada. As a son he was dutiful, obedient, truthful and affectionate, and his untimely death has left a vacancy in the family circle that cannot be filled. As a scholar both in the day school and the Sabbath school he was punctual, orderly, and studious, always among the best in his class, and trusted and loved by his teacher. What he was asked to do he always did promptly and well. His cheerful and generous diposition rendered him a favorite with all his mates, and the little boys who came to his funeral, and strewed flowers into his casket, will not forget him. Though called away in his early youth he has left non but pleasant memories.

The neighbors and friends of the family deeply sympathize with them in their great sorrow.
