FIRE.--On Tuesday morning, Mrs. Larson, living some four miles west of Cambridge, left home leaving two children there. During her absence, the house caught fire, and the entire contents were consumed. One of the children was entirely burned up, and the other so badly burned that it will not be apt to live. Further than this we are not advised.

Note from submitter: I believe this article refers to Martha and Julia Larson, both age 2 in the 1880 census. They are the daughters of Thomas O. & Caroline "Carrie" Larson of Union Twp., Story County, Iowa. In the 1885 Iowa census, Carrie is a widow as the article implies and although her older children are living with her the two youngest from the 1880 census are gone.
