OBITUARY

Harriett Whitaker was born in Allen County, Ohio, July 27, 1841 and with her parents moved to Iowa in 1855. She was married to Thos. Whitaker Feb 17, 1859 and settled on their farm in Nevada twp. Story Co. Iowa where they have since resided until her death on Oct 15, 1890, at an age of 58 years 2 months 18 days. Six children beside her husband are left to mourn her death. They are all residents of Story Co, Iowa. The services were held in the Summit Evangelical Church of which she was a member on Tuesday at 11 a.m. conducted by the pastor and Rev. G. W. Mullen after which interment was made in the cemetery at that place.
