CAMBRIDGE NEWS

DIED--Howard Groseclose, April 29 at 4 p. m., aged 23 years and 23 days.

Funeral services at the M. E. Church at 2 p. m. Sunday; sermon by Elder Reid, of Nevada. Pallbearers--James Green, Harvey Maxwell, George Wilson, Eugene Livingston, J. W. Warren and Jacob Groseclose. He was interred in the Center Grove Cemetery, to which place a large procession followed his last remains. This was the largest funeral procession ever seen in Cambridge, showing due respect to the worthiness of departed Howard. Gone to return no more, loved by everyone, a model young man one week ago well--then possessing the vigor of youth, now claimed by death; his spirit now in Paradise and his body cold and silent in the grave.

"Believe the muse, the wintery blast of Death kills not the buds of Virtue, no, they spread beneath the heavenly beams of brighter suns, thro' endless ages into higher powers in Heaven."

Mr. and Mrs. Groseclose tender their sincere thanks to the citizens who so kindly assisted in doing all in their power to alleviate the sufferings of their son, and will ever hold those friends in greatful remembrance.
