From Story County Watchman August 13, 1880

DIED.--Charley, son of Thos. C. and Sarah Templeton, on Saturday last, after an illness of but twenty hours. His age was two years, one month and fourteen days.

Carefully his little body was placed in the grave at 2 o'clock on Sunday. Let the parents look up, for he is above.

"God forbade his longer stay;
God recalled the precious loan;
God hath taken him away,
From any bosom to his own;
Surely what he wills is best;
Happy in his will I rest."
