THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Tuesday, November 16, 2010.

Vivian Corrine Stenberg, 87, of Story City, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at Israel Family Hospice House. Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, at Fjeldberg Lutheran Church in Huxley. Visitation was one hour prior to the service.

Vivian was born March 24, 1923, in Radcliffe, to Irwin S. and Gertie C. (Selvig) Stenberg. She was employed at Waldorf College. She was a member of Fjeldberg Lutheran Church in Huxley and attended services at Bethany Manor Chapel in Story City. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and playing cards.

She is survived by one sister, June Thorsbakken, of Ames; one brother-in-law, Lamont Wicks, of Story City; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Marian Arneson and Mavis Wicks; two brothers-in-law, Chuck Thorsbakken and Joel Arneson; and three infant brothers.

Adams Funeral Home and Cremation Service assisted with arrangements.
