Glee Cooper, 92, of Ames, died Monday, Nov. 8, 2010, at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Arrangements are pending with Adams Funeral Home.

Glee Cooper, 92, of Ames, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2010, at Israel Family Hospice House. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, at Campus Baptist Church in Ames.
Glee was born Feb. 7, 1918, in Prairie City, to Will Garfield and Ora Belle (Wolfe) Cooper. She grew up in Ames and graduated from Ames High School in 1935. At the age of 18, she received Christ as her personal savior. She loved children and wanted to learn what the Bible was all about, so she enrolled in Northwestern Bible School in Minneapolis. She went to California to work for Child Evangelism Fellowship in San Luis Obispo. In 1968, she became co-director of CEF in Lane County, Ore. She retired in 2000 and returned to Ames to be closer to family.
She is survived by her sisters, Marlys (John) Scott, of Slater, and Marilee Golike, of Grand Junction, Colo.; and 120 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Keith Cooper; two sisters, Veva Alleman and Roma Jean Christiansen; and one nephew, Nick Scott.
Adams Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
