Mrs. Elva Kindig. [nee Irons dau of Wm & Emma Mason Irons /H/]
Mrs. Elva Jane Kindig, 61, died at her home 517 Second avenue west, at 4:25 a.m. Sunday. She was born in Delmar [sic Illinois Jul 1865 /H/] and before coming to Cedar Rapids twelve years ago had been a resident of Collins. The last summer she resided in Marion. Surviving are two sons, Earl, 121 South Sixth street west, Cedar Rapids; Harry of Louisa, and two daughters, Nina, at home, and Eva of Nevada, Ia., besides two sisters, Mrs. Eva Blair of Sterling, Ill.; Mrs. Stella Knutson of Chicago, and several grandchildren. Her husband, William D. Kindig, died a year ago and a son, Ray, preceded her in death three years ago.
Funeral ervices will be held in the Clausen chapel at 2 p.m. Tuesday conducted by the Rev. Bruce R. West. Burial will be in Oak Shade cemetery, Marion, by the side of her husband. Friends may call at the chapel from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
