DIED.
In this city, on Friday evening last, Carrie Scott, daughter of Col. John Scott, aged 20 years.
A noble pure hearted girl, of unusual promise, in the bloom of youth, after a seige of untold suffering, pain and agony has gone to her heavenly home.
Although a great sufferer for the past year, she endured her suffering with patience and fortitude, ready to go at the Masters call. The call came last Friday evening and her soul was released from its prison of clay and wafted on angles wings, safely across the dark river, to be forever at rest with Jesus. Death is no respector of persons. It comes alike to the youthful and the aged, which admonishes us that we should so live, that when the summons comes it will find us in readiness to pass down and through the dark valley and be at home forever with the blessed, through the mercies of a just and merciful God.
