Ralph M. Jarvis, 63, passed away October 30, 2010 at his home in Ames. Funeral Services will be 10:30 AM, Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at Ankeny Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. A private Graveside Service will be held at the Iowa Veteran's Cemetery in Van Meter, Iowa.

Ralph was born July 26, 1947 in Des Moines, Iowa. He was a fun and happy person and always cared about other people. He was very adventurous and loved to travel to many places.

Survivors include his wife, Sook Jarvis of Ames, IA; children, Ed Jarvis of Philadelphia, PA, and Tony Jarvis of Overland Park, KS; step daughters, Mujigae Jacobsen and Peri Jacobsen of Ames, IA; grand children, Christina and Ashley Jarvis of Overland Park, KS and Carson, Cayden and Blake Jarvis of Philadelphia, PA; mother, Alice Jarvis of Des Moines; brothers, Denman of Ankeny, Wendol of Overland Park, KS, Wayne and Mike of Des Moines; sister, Gwendolyn Strong of Des Moines and beloved friends throughout his adult life, Joe and Sherry Villirillo and family of Des Moines. He is preceded in death by his father, John Jarvis; sister, Mary Carter; and sons, Billy and Johnny Jarvis.
