Gladys Kennedy

Gladys E. Kennedy, 81, Kelley, died Saturday, Jan. 4, at Mary Greeley Medical Center. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, at Bethany Luteran Church, Kelley, with the Rev. Marlyn D. Hansing officiating. Burial will be in Story Memorial Gardens.

Gladys Peterson was born April 9, 1904, in Madrid to Thomas and Mary (Olson) Peterson. She graduated from Kelley High School in 1922. In 1927 she married Howard L. Kennedy in Kelley. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Kelley. For many years she was the organist at Fjeldberg Lutheran Church in Huxley.

Survivors include a daughter, Doris Stark of Kelley; six sons, Marvin, Lawrence, Donald, Richard and Herman of Kelley, and John of R.R. 3, Ames; 22 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a half-sister, Marie Rosene of Rodgers, Ark.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard, in 1955, two daughters and a half brother, Merrill Peterson.

Friends may call 7-9 p.m. tonight at Stevens Memorial Chapel.
