From The Story County Watchman April 20, 1894

DIED - At her home on the Boynton farm 2 miles N. E. of Nevada on Saturday morning April 14, 1894 Nettie, wife of Geo. L. Tichenor, aged 28 years, 9 months and 16 days. She was the daughter of Geo. W. Wireman and wife, who formerly lived S. E. of Nevada, but now life near Maxwell. Her marriage with Mr. Tichenor, took place Feb. 26, 1889, and nearly ever since they had made their home on the farm where she died. Some two years ago she had a severe attack of fever from which she never fully recovered. Early last winter it became evident that death had marked her for its victim. Everything possible was done but to no avail. She steadily declined until the end came. The funeral took place in the Summit Chapel in Mullen settlement on Monday and was largely attended by her friends. Rev. R. A. Ferguson of Maxwell, her former pastor, and who united her in marriage, conducted the service, assisted by Rev. C. M. Letton, now the pastor of the New Hope C. P. church of which she was a member at the time of her death. She was a good, true woman in all the relations of life, and wil be very much missed in this part of the country, where her whole life had been spent. A number of the Nevada people attended the funeral. Much sympathy is felt for the husband, the parents the sisters and other relatives. She left no children. Her end was peaceful and happy.
