From Nevada Representative March 28, 1916
Died of Lockjaw
Clinton Pond,* one of two bachelor brothers on a farm seven miles north of town, died Saturday at the Sanitarium in Nevada in consequence of an accident which he suffered a week before. The accident was the partial severing of his wrist when he got next to a buzz saw. The accident did not at first promise to be so serious but blood poisoning set in and this was followed by lock-jaw, with the very regretable conclusion noted.
*Submitter's note: "Clinton Pond" is a misnomer and should be Clayton or sometimes Claton Pond. He was the son of Albert Columbus Pond and Sarah Ann (Bigbee) Pond.
