Mrs. Young, Mother Of Principal Here, Dies In Nebraska

Mrs. V. L. Young, 59, mother of Verne M. Young, principal of the Ames senior high school, died at 6 a. m., Wednesday at her home in Hastings, Neb. She had been in ill health for several months.

Born in Pennsylvania, Mrs. Young had lived in Nebraska since 1884.

Surviving her are her husband and four children, Newton of Lincoln, Neb., Marion and Marie at Hastings, and Verne of Ames. Also surviving are five grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Young left Wednesday afternoon for the funeral services, which will be held at Hastings at 2 p. m., Friday.
