THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Tuesday, June 22, 2010.
Glennice LaDonna Picht, 80, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Sunday, June 20, 2010, at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County in Bentonville, Ark. Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 28, at Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery in Slater.
She was born April 7, 1930, in Slater, to Lewis B. Erickson and Minnie Munson Erickson. She earned a degree from Drake University in Des Moines with a major in elementary education and a minor in music. She taught elementary education for many years in Ames, Colo and Clarion. She was a member of United Lutheran Church where she was very active, including the choir. She loved antiquing.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ralph Picht, of Bella Vista, Ark.; five sisters, Patricia Crosley, of Park Rapids, Minn., Ramona Tokheim, of Edina, Minn., Betty Anderson, of Mankato, Minn., Leona Erickson, of Kansas City, Mo., and Idelles Jean Erickson, of Kansas City, Mo.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother and four sisters.
