The death of Rev. J. C. Brown on the 6th inst. by paralysis was a most sudden and unexpected blow to his many friends in this vicinity. He had charge of the Danish Mission of the M. E. Church for Central Iowa in which capacity he had been laboring for the past year. At the time of the attack of the paralysis shock, he was painting a fence for Recorder O. K. Hill, and so severe was the stroke that he did not recover consciousness before his death.
