SUDDEN DEATH - Mrs. S. Smith residing in southeastern part of Nevada township, wife of Geo. Smith and daughter of W. S. Kitchen, was found lying on her bed, dead about 3 P.M. Saturday, September 4th. Her husband had gone after a pail of water to one of the neighbors about an hour previous. While there he assisted the neighbor in measuring and loading a load of wheat, which caused some delay in his return. When he returned he found her as above. The supposition is that her death was caused by a fit, which she was subject to. She was buried in Woodland Cemetery, Iowa Center on Sunday afternoon.
