Mrs. R. Duea Passes Away

Wife of Former Roland Resident Passes Away at Her Home in Ft. Dodge - Several From Here Attend Funeral - Was Deaf and Dumb Mute

The sad news reached the Jonas Duea, Sr., family last Monday morning that Mrs. Rasmus Duea had passed away. Joseph Duea had been up there last week, but returned as she seemed to be improving, but later had a relapse and passed away. Her husband, who is a son of Jonas Duea, of this place, is a deaf and dumb mute as was his wife. The funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon at Scranton, the former home of the deceased. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Duea, Miss Mary Duea and Mr. Jonas Duea, Jr., attended the funeral. We hope to be able to give a more complete obituary next week.
