Milford Farmer Seriously Hurt

Prominent Milford Township Farmer Has Terrible Accident by Being Thrown from Wagon, and the Wheels Passing Over His Body

As Ole K. Prescott was driving home from Nevada last Monday evening, where he had been with a load of grain, the wheels of the wagon passed outside of a culvert, throwing Mr. Prescott to the ground. He hung onto the reins in an effort to stop the team, but the wheels of the wagon passed over his body, breaking several ribs and otherwise injuring him internally. All during the night and the next morning blood was flowing from his mouth, and the physicians stated that it was a serious case. His many friends hope that he will soon recover.

Mr. Prescott is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Knudt Prescott, of this place, and a prominent farmer of Milford township, where he has resided for nearly twenty-four [years]. He lives several miles south and one mile west of here.

The family has been rather unfortunate as two of his brothers were accidentally killed some years ago, and it is almost a wonder that Mr. Prescott did not meet the same fate on this occasion, from particulars that we are able to procure at this time.
