FOUR FUNERALS WITHIN A WEEK

AN OCTOGENARIAN AND THREE YOUNG PERSONS CALLED BY DEATH

Four funerals have been conducted from the local churches the past week, three from Bergen church and one from Salem church.

Sam Rorvig Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. S. S. Rorvig, died Sunday at the Mary Greeley hospital in Ames, and the funeral was held in Bergen church Tuesday afternoon.

Mr. Rorvig had a carbuncle on his arm that infected his system and he was taken to the Mary Greeley hospital in Ames July 25 for treatment. He contracted pneumonia and died Sunday morning at the age of nearly 23 years. The funeral was held yesterday at the home and at Bergen church, Rev. M. O. Sumstad officiating, with interment in the Roland cemetery.
