THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, April 22, 2010.

Marian Thormann, 92, of Webster City, died Monday, April 19, 2010, at Southfield Wellness Community. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 24, at Foster Chapel in Webster City, with the Rev. Linda Bibb officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service.

Marian Ludema Brown was born Dec. 9, 1917, in Grand View, the daughter of William and Georgianna Hank Brown. She graduated from Wapello High School. She married Charles Roger Thormann on Dec. 25, 1938, in Wapello. She was a homemaker. Her husband died in August 1979.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Georgia and Harlo Schneekloth, of Columbia, Tenn., and Jayne and Richard Hahne, of Webster City; grandchildren, Tammy and Jay Dahlgren, Todd and Tina Finlo, Jill and Gary Hahn, Troy Schneekloth, and Holli and Doug Wilson; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and two brothers.
