KNUT ANDREAS KNUTSON

Knut Andrea Knutson was born in Kvalevog, Norway, April 5, 1856, and died at his home in Garden City, Ia., November 21, 1932, at the age of 76 years, 7 months and 16 days.

He was united in marriage to Anna Gurine Axel, September 22, 1881, and to this union was born six children.

The wife and three sons, Oscar, Carl and Knut, preceeded him in death. He leaves to mourn him two daughters and one son, Mrs. H. H. Nelson, and G. A. Knutson, of Garden City, and Mrs. Conrad Harestad, of Marshalltown, Iowa, ten grandchildren and two great grand-children. One brother and sister have preceded him in death.

He immigrated to America in 1890 and settled near Pontiac, Illinois, later moving to Iowa, in 1901, where he resided until his death.

The funeral was conducted from the home at 1:30 p. m. and from the Stavanger Lutheran church at Garden City at 2:00 p. m. November 25, 1932 Rev. B. K. Barstad officiating. Burial was made in the Garden City cemetery.
