THE TRI-COUNTY TIMES, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, March 25, 2010.

Charles Gregg, 70, passed away on March 19, 2010 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis of cancer surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 411 3rd Avenue, Slater, Iowa.

Charles was born July 28, 1939 in Des Moines to Clarence and Gertrude. He was married to Marilyn Hedlund on January 31, 1959 and they resided in Slater for 23 years where they raised three daughters. He ran a car dealership in Clarion, Iowa for 22 years, retiring in 2004 and lived on Lake Cornelia. He enjoyed spending time with family, watching NASCAR racing and playing cards.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn; daughters, Debra, Carol (Dan) and Julie (Brian); six grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; one great grandchild and a brother (John).

He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and one sister.

Memorial contributions may be directed to American Cancer Society or National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
