SCHOOL CHILD KILLED
Lorraine Johnson, eight year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis T. Johnson, of southwest of Randall, was killed in an accident which happened on the school ground in Randall Thursday morning.
She was struck by one of the buses driven by Ray Anderson. It appears that Anderson was driving his bus into the shed when the little girl ran in front of him. He applied the brakes, but the front bumper struck the child, knocking her down. She got up at once, but it was apparent that she was badly hurt and Anderson got out and carried her into the schoolhouse. Her mother was summoned and came at once, the little girl living only a few minutes after she arrived.
This is the second fatal accident of this kind in the Randall school district within the past year. Last March the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur C. Anderson, Berdella, lost her life in an accident that happened on the Christytown road.
Mr. and Mrs. Johnson and family lived on a farm a mile west of Roland several years ago.
