Grace Coumbe nee Trick (20 Aug. 1804-13 Jan. 1889)

From Nevada Representative January 16, 1889:

Died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Snyder, in this city a few minutes after midnight Sunday night, Mrs. Grace Coumbe in the 85th year of her age. Mrs. Coumbe was born at Hallsworthey, Devonshire, England in 1804, married young and removed with her husband to Albany, New York and soon after to Gambier, Ohio where her husband died in 1837. She came to Nevada with her daughter, Mrs. Snyder, in 1869 and lived her until her death. In England she was a member of the Episcopal church of England, but after coming to America she united with the Methodist church there to remain. She was always a consistent devoted Christian and died with a strong faith in which she had always lived. She leaves two sons and three daughters. The latter, Mrs. J. B. Sullivan of Indianapolis, Mrs. J. P. Lewis of Lancaster, Wisconsin and Mrs. Snyder are here to tend the funeral, which will be held at 2 o'clock to day.
