The Nevada Representative, Nevada, Story County, Iowa, Wednesday, November 20, 1878.

Died.

In Sheldahl, Nov. 14th of diptheria, Willie, only child of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Allen, aged two years.

Willie was the sunshine of that now clouded home, being an unusually bright and winning child. To the parents in their sad bereavement we would tender our sincere sympathy. May they in there first great grief look to Him for comfort who has called them thus early in life to "pass under the rod."

Thous never will die my darling;
Thou never hadst learned to fear
The dark, dark vale at the end of the way
That waiteth us pilgrims here.

Thou knowest not of the waters cold.
The dangers and dread alarms,
Thou didst not walk thro' valley and shade,
For "He taketh the lambs in His arms."

He beareth them safe from the love of earth
To the love of their home on high,
The love that is light and life for aye,
Thou never, never wilt die.
