DEATH FOLLOWS RETURN TO HOME

DANIELSON PASSED AWAY AT HOME OF MOTHER MONDAY MORNING

Daniel Danielson, who left his home here 36 years ago, was brought back from Minnesota last week in serious condition and passed away at the home of his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Danielson, Monday morning.

A message was received here Thursday morning stating that he was in a county hospital at Redwood Falls, Minn., having been found in serious condition several days before at Belview. His sister,, Mrs. Martha Fenn, and J. T. Gaard left at once for Redwood Falls. They returned with him Friday, and he seemed to stand the trip quite well and seemed to be very happy to be back in his old home. On Sunday afternoon he had a hemorrhage which weakened him considerably and he died at three o'clock Monday morning.

Daniel Danielson was born at Roland on June 24, 1877, and died February 15, 1932, at the age of 54 years, 7 months and 21 days.

When he was 18 years old he left here and has been back only once since that time, being back on a visit 7 years ago. He was taken ill with cancer and Bright's disease in Montana last August and has been confined in hospitals much of the time since. On February 5 he was taken very sick in Minnesota while on his way to Roland and was removed to the county home at Redwood Falls, where his sister found him.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Danielson, and sister, Mrs. Martha Fenn, of this place, and two children, Roy Laverne Danielson of Sioux City and Mrs. Edwin Bergman of Dayton, besides other relatives.

The funeral is being held today from Bergen church. The pastor, Rev. M. O. Sumstad, will officiate, assisted by Rev. Edward Duea of Dows, an old friend and schoolmate of the deceased. The pall bearers are Sam Bakka, Gehard Amdall, Ed Osmundson, Arnold Sevde, J. T. Gaard and M. O. Rod. Interment will take place in the Roland cemetery.

ATTENDED FUNERAL

The funeral of Daniel Danielson was held last Wednesday at the home and at Bergen church, Rev. M. O. Sumstad officiating assisted by Rev. Edward Duea of Dows. Those from a distance in attendance included Mrs. Lucy Danielson, Roy L. Danielson and Edwin Bergman of Sioux City; Mrs. Frances Barquist and Earl Fenn of Newton; Dr. and Mrs. R. R. Gaard of Radcliffe; Mr. and Mrs. Gehard Amdall, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Arnold, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Pearson, Mrs. Lars Amdall and Mrs. W. H. Reid of McCallsburg.
