Janet B. Jacobson, age 65, of Isabella, Minnesota passed away January 21, 2010 at the Solvay Hospice House in Duluth.

She was born October 30, 1944 in Story City to Bob and Alice Waugh. Her mother died when Janet was 18 months old. She was adopted by Amos and Nora Jacobson in 1946. Amos and Nora also had two sons Norm (Jake) and Ed. Janet grew up in Roland. She received a bachelor's degree in education in 1965 from Mankato State University. She also received a Master's Degree in Psychology from St. Mary's in 1990.

In 1968, Janet married Gerald (Jerry) Kettunen and they divorced in 1989.

Janet met Barb Adkins in 1989. They moved to Isabella, Minnestoa in 2003.

Janet worked as a teacher, in real estate, as a counselor, and other sales jobs. She enjoyed the outdoors, the north shore, fishing, cooking, and most of all spending time with her family.

Janet is survived by her partner, Barb Adkins; two sons, Eric (Lisa) Kettunen of Wyoming, Minnesota and Carl (Megan) Kettunen of White Bear Lake, Minnesota; one step-daughter, Meagan (Bill) Beekman of Minneapolis, Minnesota and six grandchildren.

She was preceeded in death by her biological parents, and her adoptive parents.
