THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Friday, February 12, 2010.

Hallie L. Sargisson, 103, of Sioux City, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010, in Sioux City. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15, at Salix United Methodist Church in Salix. Private burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery in Sioux City.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, at the Morningside Chapel of Christy-Smith Funeral Home in Sioux City, with an Order of Eastern Star service at 5 p.m. and a prayer service at 5:30 p.m.

Hallie L. Sargisson was born Jan. 1, 1907, at Climbing Hill. She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Jane Nielsen, of Le Mars, and Julianne Jorstad, of Ames; one son, Payne Sargisson, of Salix; granddaughter, Cynthia Jorstad, of Thief River Falls, Minn.; grandson, John Jorstad, of Roland; and other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
