THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, January 28, 2010.

Ruby Thompson, 92, of Madrid, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010, at Madrid Home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at Evangelical Free Church in Madrid. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, at the church.

Ruby’s survivors include eight children and their spouses, Marilyn (Bob), Ron (Sharon), Eileen (Darold), Dave (Jackie), Paul, Faye, Chuck (Jo) and Brian (DeAnn); two sisters, June Swanson and Dorathy Severson; one brother, Ervin (Elaine) Weeks; one sister-in-law, Elaine Weeks; 64 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces.

Memorials may be given to Madrid Home, Madrid Evangelical Free Church or Wesley Hospice.

Soderstrum-Riis Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
