THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Tuesday, January 5, 2010.

Marjorie Mae Schuster, 90, of Ames, passed away Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010, at Bethany Manor in Story City. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 8, at Bethany Manor Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Lehigh, Iowa, Cemetery at a later date.

Marjorie was born Nov. 10, 1919, in Fort Dodge, the daughter of Frank and Bertha (Woodbury) Peterson. She married John Schuster Nov. 17, 1939, in Fort Dodge. The couple farmed many years in the area until they moved to Ames in 1972.

She is survived by her three children, Douglas (Mary), of Kansas City, Mo., Robert (Janet), of Omaha, Neb., and Chuckie (Doug Roen) Russell, of Ames; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Robert; and her husband, John.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and dear friend, always putting others before herself. She was also an excellent partner with her husband in all their years of farming.
