Margaret Thompson Donhowe, 89, passed away at a hospital in California Oct. 23, 2009, with her loved ones by her side.

Margaret was born in Randall, Iowa June 30, 1920 the daughter of Iver and Julian (Oakland) Thompson. She was baptized and confirmed at Elim Lutheran Church. She graduated from Randall High School and was active in singing and choir.

Margaret moved to Ames where she was a telephone operator for several years. On March 25, 1948, she married Howard Donhowe in California.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Howard; son, Charles (Bonnie) Donhowe; son-in-law LeRoy Bell and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Pat Bell, five brothers and four sisters.
