Mrytle Hankins passed away October 26th at the Beatitudes Care Facility in Glendale, Arizona. She spent most of her life in Nevada, Iowa, and moved to Arizona in 1992.

In the early 1940s, she worked as a secretary for North American Aircraft in California. During this period she also gave birth to her first son, Stacy. Around the mid 40’s she, her husband Glen, and son Stacy, moved back to their hometown Nevada where she and Glen spent nearly the next 50 years. During the late 40’s and mid 50’s she had two more sons, Steven and Marshall.

Mrytle enjoyed cooking, sewing and reading, and did so until a fall resulted in a broken leg which wouldn’t mend. Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband Glen Hankins, a son Stacy Hankins, and a brother Henry Larson. She is survived by a sister, Margaret Fosseen of Radcliffe, Iowa; two sons, Steven and Marshall, residing in Arizona; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She will be missed.
